| The Short-Scale plays easily |
This bass started life as a bargain model, it is only 30" length scale. The tone from the stock pickups was very lame, no high frequency and no extreme low frequency reproduction. This was ripe for a Seymour Duncan update.
The Seymour Duncan pickups fit the instrument perfectly. Only very minor filing of the pick-guard was required.

With all the new parts this bass is now pushing $500 in total cost (not including labor) but it plays like a dream and sounds even better.
